Turn out the lights
Turn off your lights for an hour. Come on, see if you can do it.

When you have a headache...
Grab your Golden Cup, or White Monkey Holding Peach Balm. I still have some from when a friend went over to Thailand years ago. Never could quite understand the White Monkey Holding the Peach thing, but from what I understand the white monkey is immortal and therefore the balm is giving one longevity. Why he is holding a peach is beyond me. Katie thinks it looks more like a pig! White Monkey Holding Pig Balm.

Fern Canyon
Katie climbing over some downed logs in the canyon. Most people stop quite a ways back due to river crossings and downed logs. We went to the end of the canyon and climbed up to the rim to hike back out. It's a super lush place with steep walls covered in ferns, hence the name Fern Canyon.
A couple elk hanging out in a meadow near Fern Canyon. This was about the only exciting experience I had all spring break. The rest was spent researching, reading, and working on projects. This meadow had about 25 elk laying around, a couple bulls but mostly females with kids. These two were the closest to the truck. Taking photos out of the side of a vehicle really makes me feel like a tourist.

Random Photo
A shot of one of six black bears from one trip down Tenaya Canyon last summer. A couple friends and I trekked down the canyon last August during a very dry season. Usually much more water would be flowing, but the dryness made the trip much easier. Once we reached the valley we came across six different Black Bears near Mirror Lake. This one we followed for quite a distance before it converged off the trail up into the woods.

Button
While I should be studying for exams next week, I'm giving my brain a rest and playing with Illustrator. Went and saw Greg Brown tonight, great show as expected. Spring break starts next friday. Maybe I'll catch up on some phone calls, if I still have a phone by then.

Sneezing panda
I had to watch this one a few times. Couldn't stop laughing.
