The New View

This is the view looking out my front door during my summer stay at Brian and Sara's. It's a bit different than the old garbage truck view.

The wood fire sauna covered in flora. It will hold about 10 comfortably. Consider this an open invitation.

Greenhouses are imperative for Humboldt coastal weather. There is a drip and spray system hooked up so one can simply place there plants in and go sip some tea in the garden.

Integrity

To be sparing of speech is natural.

A whirlwind does not last the whole morning,
A downpour does not last the whole day.
Who causes them?
If even heaven and earth cannot cause them to persist,
how much less can human beings?

To him who identifies with integrity,
the Way awards integrity;
To him who identifies with failure,
the Way awards failure.

Creatures of the Night

Our friend Jen gave a talk "Creatures of the Night" tonight near Redwoods National Park, and brought along some friends with her, "Spotty" and "Al." Al the Great Horned Owl is shown below checking me out.

Mad River is mad.

Riding out to Clam Beach we stopped by the Mad River to check out the beach. There were anywhere from 50-75 seals laying on the sand across the river from us. We got applauded and then left.
